    Registry Key lost after XP PRO SP2 re-install

    Following a re-installation of Windows XP (don't ask, its a long story!) I get the following when firing up Actinic:

    <snip>
    ...unable to open the registry key "Software\Actinic\Catalog7\" The system cannot find the file specified.
    </snip>

    Of course I took a backup of the registry!

    My question is ... is it preferable to re-install Actinic and restore the snapshot or just paste all the backed-up Actinic registry entries into the registry?

    If you re-installed XP and left the programs alone (ie not a full re-format) you should be OK to try and copy the Actinic reg entries in first (take another copy before trying) rather than having to re-install Actinic.
