email smtp probs

Hi, i having major probs with sending emails to my customers, i've tried most settings but no joy, i'm using actinic 6 with the latest update

here's the error code

Failed to communicate with the SMTP server.

Possible Cause:
Network transmission problems.

Recommendation:
Retry

Resolution:
If retry fails, check your SMTP settings
or contact your ISP.


The error was:
58327sales@minimoto-online.co.uk Error returned from SMTP server (4: relaying mail to minimoto-online.co.uk is not allowed

What is your SMTP setting in Advanced | Network Setup and what response do you get when you run the Test button on these settings?

've tried setting to localhost , network test are ok but i still get error with whatever email account my customer has i.e

OK - you need to change it to the website mail server - it is the website that is sending this email, not your local PC.

i'll have to change my host,as mine dont support smtp i just found out

whats a good,reliable and reasonably priced server in the uk? thats actinic friendly??

have you tried 'mail-fwd' ?

It looks like the hair-tearing prob I had a few weeks ago. Have a look at the thread 'SMTP Authentication' - may some help in there - a torrid route but we prevailed!
