        Hi Bruce,

The patch for 7.03 Catalog doesn't seem to be available either. The following advice is given regarding 7.04 patch.

Please note it is only recommended that a v7.0.3 site is upgraded to v7.0.4 if the following issue has been experienced:
It seems to recommend staying at 7.03 for the time being. Is it possible to get a download of that version?

        Many thanks

        Myles

Edit. Forgot to mention, currently on 7.01. Can I jump straight to 7.03?

          Hi Myles,

No issues with upgrading from v7.01 to v7.03. Can you send me the link to the area on the website where you saw the message regarding the suggestion to upgrade only from v7.0.3 to v7.0.4.

          Kind regards,
          Bruce King

From what I can remember, the advice is:

            - If not on V7.0.3 then upgrade to 7.0.4
            - If on V7.0.3 then only upgrade if you have the particular problem, otherwise there's not much point as that's all it fixes.

Based on this there shouldn't be much need for the 7.0.3 patch (with the exception of someone running two copies, one on 7.0.3 one on something less - in which case I'd probably patch both to 7.0.4)

              O.K.

Here's the link to the page I looked at.

              http://www.actinic.co.uk/referrer/Do...8&&nCategory=5

              - If not on V7.0.3 then upgrade to 7.0.4
No, it doesn't actually say that Mike.

The info regading the patch states:

Upgrade from earlier releases of v7, for users in the UK and everywhere outside the Americas

Please note it is only recommended that a v7.0.3 site is upgraded to v7.0.4 if the following issue has been experienced:

After importing a snapshot, the old out-of-date site files are no longer copied to the \\\\\\\'Site1\\\\\\\' folder and uploaded to the web site. This was caused by the presence of hard-coded links to section pages in the templates.
Now this is all down to interpretation, but it does seem to suggest that users only go from 7.03 to 7.04 if they experience the above problem. I assume this advice holds true, not to go beyond 7.03 if they are on an earlier version, otherwise the above recommendation would not make sense?

Bruce, I've responded to your other email directly.

              Many thanks

                Hi Myles,

Sorry, not able to send you the patch now but will do on Monday, am at home now. Thanks for the link, that was issued as with v7.0.3 certain sites experienced an issue with the generated files being posted to the Site1 folder and then being uploaded instead of residing in the SiteHTML folder. That issue was resolved with v7.0.4.

Your interpretation of the message is correct, but there is no issue with upgrading to v7.0.4 directly.

                Kind regards,

Because I still see a little confusion in the wording, I will try my version.

If you are already using v7.0.3 there is no advantage to upgrading to 7.0.4 UNLESS you are facing the issue mentioned.

If you are on any OTHER v7 product please DO upgrade straight to v7.0.4

                    Hi Bruce,

I never got the patch for 7.03. I assume it's O.K. therefore to go straight to 7.04?

Is there any info anywhere as to the issues that have been fixed from 7.01 onwards? I remember seeing a big list on Actinics website when 7.03 came out, but can't find any info now.

Also, how do I prevent the templates I've edited (in 7.01) from being overwritten? Do I simply import a snapshot after updating?

                    Thanks.

                      Hi Myles,

I did forward the 7.0.3 patch to you the next day. It is perfectly fine to go straight to v7.0.4, no issue there. I would suggest making a snapshot of your 7.0.1 site and then importing that into 7.0.4, that will make sure that you get across your template changes and all.

Once you install the patch you will find the release notes in C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\ .. a file called 'Release Notes.doc'. I will mail you the release notes for v7.0.3 too. It is too large to attach here.

                      Kind regards,
                      Bruce King

                        Hi Bruce,

The patch for 7.03 never arrived at this end, (I've noticed even emails go missing in transit now and again) but I'll jump to 7.04 as you suggest.

Thanks for the release notes which have made it through O.K.

                        Best wishes,
