Where within Actinic can i remove this Link/Text?

I've got these links and text at the bottom of each page:

I want to remove the "Web design by XXXXXX"

Where within Actinic can i remove this Link/Text?

That sounds like the designer has added the text in... first step is to check out the Act_Primary template and see if it is there

is that the act_primary.html ?

Yes, you will find it in the root of the Site1 directory - that is the best place to start looking or they may have been sneaky and buried it somewhere else

Hi Pete - thanks for the email. The best way to get to the Act_Primary.html via Actinic is Design | Options | Layouts | Primary Templates - click the "edit" button next to "default overall layout" - this will open the template with the default editor (eg Dreamweaver, Frontpage or Notepad)... if you don't have a HTML editor use Notepad... you should see towards the bottom of the page the text you are looking for.

It may also be worth checking through Design | Text and doing a search on the company name and also under Design | Options | Site Defaults | Properties to see if they have embedded it in there also

Glad you got it sorted - very annoying when you see "Site designed by XXX" on websites - people have often paid good money not to have to sponsor and advertise someone elses site

I like to put a designed by link on sites i design. It helps with getting new business and backward links.
