Error copying from 'from' file

I am getting an error on upload to the site which happens everytime and even after a refresh. The complete error message is:

"An error occured while merging files on the remote server. Error copying from 'from' file"

Underneath the alert dialog the status window always says "Applying changes to prod" at the point the error is thrown.

Unfortunately whatever is happening here has completely stuffed the site search facility and my client is none too pleased, even momre so as I can't seem to rectify the error so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that - it did the job, however, I am still curious as to why it happened in the first place and why the only way to overcome the problem is to delete the files a do a full site refresh.

Hi Simon

I have seen this issue, when a hosting company has installed a patch or upgraded the server. Sometimes it knocks the permissions of the files. Doing a web refresh changes the permissions to the correct one, if allowed.
