VAT inclusive prices in check out

Hi all

I know this subject has been raised many times - is there any likelihood of a UK version of Actinic enabling B2C sites to show VAT inclusive prices all the way through the ordering process? (and enabling VAT inc. prices to be set up on a per product basis).

The average UK punter does not understand VAT breakdowns and it's causing us a lot of wasted time having to keep explaining that they are being charged correctly but the software won't allow us to show VAT inc. prices away from the product pages.

They ask why we don't get better software as other UK ecommerce sites don't do this - why indeed? It makes us look unprofessional being a UK based business where consumers don't expect to see trade style invoices and most can't even understand them.

Any likelihood?

It would just be good to know whether Actinic evens intends to address this issue as lots of people have posted regarding VAT problems - surely for the UK market, it's kind of an important thing to take a look at.

More than willing to upgrade if there is a version that will resolve this problem.

Got to agree with this one. The simpler the checkout the better and as far as I can tell there is no law that says you have to display VAT in the checkout.

Would be VERY happy to see a work around for this!

We are very aware of this as an outstanding requirement that a lot of our customers have. I'll flag this up as a wishlist to the development team again, and hopefully we will see it in a forthcoming release.
