    Mole End Froogle Mash Question

After a visit from Jan@Mole End we were fairly easily persuaded to use their Froogle Mash software to list products on Froogle.

The software works great for us, except for one small issue. It seems that the software doesn't work with with Actinic's product anchor links, as once the Froogle feed has been processed and is accessible, if a customer clicks on one of our products they are transported to the top of the product page, and not to the actual product in question. We have tried both of the 'link to product' and 'link to product page' options when uploading feeds but neither allows us to link directly to the product.

I don't know if anyone else has had any similar problems, or whether it is something we are doing wrong. If Jan is out there somewhere or if anyone else has any suggestions, it would be good to hear them.

    Cheers,
    Simon

You need to include product anchors on your webpages to get this link to product feature to work (the easiest way to do this is to show your product references online). The program uses a rather out of date method of linking directly to a product, it appends the #a and the product reference to the end of the line. If you try to use the correct way to link directly to a product (ie: use a call to a script with the product reference), froogle does not link to your products at all.

Of course - if you are running one product per page .......

Thanks for your reply Jan, is the option to show your product references online an option within Actinic?

I think one product per page is out of the question for us as we already have over 450 pages generated with each upload, meaning upload time is already quite lengthy. If we were to generate a new page for each product it would be impossible to maintain any order processing speed, especially during busy periods where we're dealing with over 2000 orders a day (thank goodness for Actinic Multi-User!)

It is an option in view / business settings / options tab - Tick the show product references in online catalog (do a page preview to make sure that this does not make your products look odd).

It has much more impact when you go directly to a product than just to the page.
