Froogle invalid URL error "http://%22..." ?

Hi all,

I have up until now really tried my heart out with froogle - but it is a real pain in the proverbial. I managed to sort out the header issue (with the html escaped errors etc) and then fix the VAT errors (thanks a bunch to Actinoogle) but now I am stuck.

I have a perfectly formed url in the text file, but for some reason I keep failing the froogle test becuase of an invalid URL:

Original in text file uploaded to froogle:
"http://www.thearttribe.co.uk/acatalog/Paintings.html"

Froogle error:
"http://%22http/www.thearttribe.co.uk/acatalog/Paintings.html%22"

It is driving me very slightly potty . Can anyone help?

I suppose you'd have to remove the quotes from around your URLs. I think if you remove those, Froogle ought to stop prepending the "http://" scheme to the beginning of the string and your links will work.

Hi,
I think you need to take off the quotes. Also it seems that the url was copied and pasted from a web design software so the format is still present, invisible to you but not to the software.

Do you mean manually edit the Actinic generated text file to get rid of the quotes or is there a setting in Actinic to stop the quotes being generated in the first place?

You need to log into froogle, go to the feed options and check the box called use quoted fields.
