    Sending Orders

    Hi,
I put up a site for a client that doesn't have a lot of computer skills and doesn't want to be bothered checking the orders. They had some problems with the software. I said I would watch over it for a while. Is there an easy way to email them the completed orders without printing or faxing them?

    Regards,
    Randy

You can install a pdf 'soft' printer on your PC, print the order to that and then email them the pdf.

Alternatively, add some additional email addresses to the 'send copy of customer emails to' box and the software will automatically mail copies of the customer order email to those addresses. Note though that the software only generates and sends the customer order email when/if the customer reaches the final 'receipt' page. Many leave the PSP after paying and head off to other sites without seeing this page and generating the emails.

and, unless you have the website set to show the actual product references (and so they appear in the customer emails) all you will get are emails with the short product name.
If many of your items have the same or very similar names, that won't help much!
Also, in addition to what Mike said about customers not generating the receipt email by returning to the site, as the cope email receipt does NOT show the payment method itself, it's quite possible that receipt emails could be generated for orders which are NOT yet paid for too! (invoice & payment before delivery/send card details separately etc)
