Can't contribute to thread (don't even know what a customvar is...LOL) but just wanted to say "WOW" to Mike (at Wheesh)... what fantastic photos of that elm jewellery chest!
If you're not into Customvar's yet, an easy alternative would be to click on the product and then select the "Extended information" tab. Here you can generate a pop-up info page for the product with an image.
If you want to have a look at the CUSTOMVAR thing then go into help contents, find "Editing HTML" and then select "Displaying Custom Properties In Your Online Store"
Near the bottom of this help section is an example of a second image Custom Variable.
"There is do and there is not do, there is no try" Yoda
We have set up a pop-up page template (loosely based on Act_Primary.html) which picks us the NETQUOTEVARS that are available in the pop up page (Name, Product Ref, Extended Information & product image). To this template we have added customvars for 2nd, 3rd & 4th images, additional text, section name & section ID to be able to display more images, an add to cart button and a return to catalogue link. (I've attached the template to give you a better idea)
Actinic then creates all the pages for us as pop-up pages but we do not use the java pop up call but have a <a>link</> from the image on the section page so google can follow into all the pages
So now when we add another product which has more than one image we just have to set the appropriate image as a customvar in product properties. Most of the other customvars can be set by section so there's not too much additional input.
Tracy,
Glad you liked the photos, I thought as it was nearly £1,000 I'd better make a special effort on the photos. It is a lovely piece but watch this space as it's £3,500 and £5,000 sisters are on their way over from Italy.
