    Order Anomaly

    Dear All

    We've had an instance where payment was received for an order but no order confirmation/email appears to have been downloaded by eiether us or the client.

    Also we seem to have skipped an order number - ie we've gone from 999 to 1001.

    Just a one off it seems as otherwise the order process has worked ok.

    Anybody had similar experiences - can suggest an explantion?

    1) Emails can get lost if mail servers are busy or overloaded.

    2) Actinic won't send the customer email until the payment has been completed AND the customer has returned to the receipt page (this is what triggers the customer email). Customer often leave the site after payment i.e. before going to the reciept page.

    3) If a customer backs out of a transaction using actinic's javascript secure payment page then the order number gets incremented, even though no order details are captured. This is the case for V6 but I would have thought it was fixed in V7. Not sure though so maybe actinic could comment.
