Different Backgrounds

Hi all

I am trying to use a different background image for one section only in the acatalog. This is a "Christmas Department" so all pages in that section, and sub sections, will have a Christmas themed background. The rest of the shop stays the same.

How do I do that? I cannot find anything in the advanced user guide. I am using a clean layout.

Create a copy of Act_Primary.html template (perhaps ActXmasPrimary?) and edit the body tag to include the background image you want to use. Then apply that new template as the Overall section template for the special pages.

If you are going to be using this feature on a regular basis you can set up a CUSTOMVAR to specify the "bgimage" especially if you are making changes to the overall layout on a regular basis and you don't want to be changing all the new Act_Primaries - but for 1 off's Bills suggestion is the quickest option

Thanks both, but how do I apply the changes to ensure they target that section only? Can't see the wood for the trees atm.

Under the section where you need the new layout go to Layout | Overall Layout and browse to the new Act_Primary you have created. Leave all the subsections as "parent" to inherit the new layout from above
