breadcrumb depth capping

Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to cap the depth of sections which the breadcrumb trail will display?

I have sections which contain one subsection per product to give me one page per product on the site.

What I'd like to be able to show is "Catalogue > Section Name" only when down in a subsection. I don't want to change the name of the subsection pages to " " if I can help it.

Hi Dan,

Given the structure of your site, I would suggest you go to C:\Program Files\Actinic vX\Sites\Site1\.. and look for Act_ParentSectionsThis.html. Open this file with an editor like Dreamweaver or Notepad and comment out this line ..

<SPAN CLASS="actxsmall"><B>NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONNAME</B></SPAN>

it should now read

<!--<SPAN CLASS="actxsmall"><B>NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONNAME</B></SPAN>--!>

Save the template and then upload the site. Yu will now only see the main section and not the sub section.

Thanks Bruce, but won't that kill the section name for the top level sections ie Home : TLS when on the 'TLS' page also?

I suupose that might be OK, though.
