Um, is it just me, or does anyone else find the process of adding options / extras to a product utterly ridiculous?
All i want to do is add some optional add-ons as dropdowns to a product, affecting the price.
I've had a read of the guides (basic and advanced), the knowledgebase and a brief jaunt through the forums, and it still makes very little sense. Maybe it's just been a long day, but i find it to be highly illogical and needlessly lengthy. Is this a case of users being forced to learn a process to accommodate poor design?
Speaking of the knowledgebase, i had a good little laugh to myself at one entry. To paraphrase the Knowledgebase: "..to do this [set up different pricing], simply attach a component, attach an attribute, attach a choice, set pricing model to 'sum of components prices', fill in the permutations...". The operative word here being 'simply'. Har-de-har.
I don't have a day or two to spare to get my noggin round the process. Are there any idiot-proof how-to's knocking about online, or is there a plugin, or a voodoo recipe...
