    Using Dreamweaver to edit site

    Hi all

I'm having a spot of trouble, especially as I'm sure this was working the other day, I'll explain.

I loaded up in the extension manager the actinic properties extensions and I took a look at a file to see what it looks like and I'm sure each section listed the Actinic page file.

Now, however I'm not getting it?

Question, do I need to look in the SiteHTML directory, which gives me loads of missing or broken picture links? or the Preview HTML directory? and has anyone else had trouble like this?

Help greatly appreciated, did a search but couldn't find anything.

    PB

you edit pages in your site1 folder - the ones that start with Act_ these are the files that get used to build your site

SiteHTML contains generated files for upload

PreviewHTML contain files for viewing on your PC.

Having a similar problem as you. I've installed the property inspector extension, but when I open a previewed page it does not give me the Actinic link to the Template file?

I have Dreamweaver 2004, used to have Dreamweaver MX and it worked fine with that?

Did you remember to untick the 'Compact HTML/CGI' Box in Design Options/Miscellaneous? It won't show the template tags until you do

JOHN YOU'RE BRILLIANT and I want you to have my children I'll bring them round tomorrow they're a bit of a nuisance anyway Keep getting in the way of my leading a normal stuck-in-front-of-the-computer existance.

I'll post something in the Dreamweaver forums as I couldn't find anything there.
