I have set up a site that sells clothes. I have set up each item so that there is a base item for each product and then a seperate, hidden item for each permutation of the product to take into account the different size and colour permutations. I have then set the components up on the base item and set the pricing to "Sum of Component Parts" so that the price is taken from the associated hidden item, as follows:
- Shirt
- - Components
- - - Attributes
- - - - Size 1 Colour 1
- - - - Size 1 Colour 2
- - - - Size 2 Colour 1
- - - - Size 2 Colour 2
- Shirt Size 1 Colour 1 (Hidden)
- Shirt Size 1 Colour 2 (Hidden)
- Shirt Size 2 Colour 1 (Hidden)
- Shirt Size 2 Colour 2 (Hidden)
I would now like to set up a discount on only one of the colours. I have set up a product group that includes only the products in colour 2 and set up a discount for the product group. However, if I now add one of the items in colour 2 to my shopping cart the discount is not applied. I have tried including the base product in the product group but then the discount is applied to all the permutations (both colour 1 and colour 2).
Does anyone know how this should be set up?
Thanks
