Problem downloading orders

Hi,

We suddenly have a problem where 2 of our shops have simultanously stopped being able to download orders.

I have contacted the hosting company who claim that there have been no changes to the server.

The error Actinic gives on my test is

"Actinic Ecommerce received an request forbidden error from the web server. The server is not properly configured to allow Actinic Ecommerce to run CGI scripts from the cgi-bin. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration."

When I click the "view response button" i get

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/nq000002.pl on this server.
Apache Server at www.xxxxxxxxx.co.uk Port 80"

I have looked through various posts and there are mentions of needing to reset permissions etc but I am not sure if I have found a conclusive way to fix this.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Interestingly enough i have just tried a site refresh on this account and i still gives the same error...

Hi there

The error message is saying you don't have permission to access the file. Have you checked the permission of the scripts? They should be 755 in Unix or "Modify", "Read and Execute", "Read" and "Write" in Windows.

Thanks for your post.

It seems that there were some changes made on the server for security reasons which caused some problems here.

All solved now.
