Cart Summary / cookie problem

This seems to be a well known issue but I'm getting a little puzzled.

When testing, on some PCs the cart summary doesn't display. If I navigate to View Cart or Checkout, everything is displayed as it should be.

This doesn't happen when I use FireFox, or IE when Privacy is set to Medium. It only occurs when Privacy is set to Medium High or above.

I am assuming this is the well-discussed error covered by this Knowledge Base article, but I am assured by my webhost (Titan Internet) that the cgi-bin and site are hosted on the same server, and playing with the solution yeilds no results.

I'm confused even further when our other site (hosted by the same company) shows no evidence of this problem at all!

Hi there

I have tested your site in I.E version 6. It works fine in Medium High (the default security is Medium), but anything over Medium High will not work for the cart content. This is I.E blocking the cookie from being read by the javascript.

Can you please tell me what where the changes that you made?

I have the same problem on these two sites http://schoolofcolour.co.uk/acatalog/Home.html and http://schoolofcolor.com/acatalog/Home.html

My Privacy is set to Medium and I have cleared the cookies and Temp Internet Files.

Can someone please clarify that their cart is adding up incorrectly as well on these sites?
