quick easy one! re. max qty

If I don't set a maximum quantity (ie leave it as its default 0) will it just let customers order however many they want?
I've always had to change the field to one (as BB sells mostly one-offs) so just want to make sure that this is a field I don't need to worry about when not controlling stock.

So long as you dont put a max allowed users can add as many as they want - I guess there must be some physical limits bound by the laws of mathematics and the database but there would be too many numbers the eyes would hurt
