External Linking

I'm trying to link Actinic Business to an Access database using the external linking feature - but can't work out how to create sections from importing. I can create the products without a problem.

Any ideas?

I'm afraid External linking does not work with Sections, it only works on the product levels.

Hi there

In addition to what i have written, if you want to know how to create a section from a import file, then you would create a section name column. Here you would type in the top level section, and also subsections. Here is an example

A
1...SECTIONNAME
2...Films | UK | DVD

So in Cell "A2", the top level section is Films, but the subsection after that are UK and DVD. To include a subsection, you would use the pipe symbol "|". This only goes in 1 cell.
