    Sub Section Gifs not showing

Hi - I've got a section on my site called 'designers', within that section are various subsections. My problem is that if you click on the actual 'designers' section on the left hand menu what you should see is a load of the individual designers logos appearing, you would then click on the logo to see the products. However - no logos appear. It works when I do a preview, and I know that the sub sections are there because they appear in the menu.

    Heres the offending section:

I've done a web refresh, compacted database. Don't know what else to try.
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks - Nick

    Hi Nick,

They are all apearing ok when I look at the page, so either you fixed it since your post, or maybe a cache issue with your ISP, which a couple of furious F5's on the keyboard should clear, but looks and shows ok from here.

Hmm - I certainly didn't fix it! Going home now so we'll see how it looks on Monday. Cheers.

OK - not sure whats going on here - I've given it a good F5 ing, and I still can't see them. I've also cleared our my temp internet files, offline content and web history! Any other ideas on clearing my cache as that is obviously the problem.

          Nick

PS: George - If only everything was as reliable as Watford losing on the first day of the season. Your turn on Saturday!

You see them when you do a preview, but not online? Try manually uploading the images via ftp to your catalog folder. (They should already be there since others can see them...)

We've sorted this now - but the only way we could 'fix it' was to replace all the gifs. I don't suppose anyone can shed any light on what might have happened? If not, i'll put it down to one of lifes little oddities and will give it no more thought!

Sounds like the files may have been uploaded in the wrong way - did Actinic do the load or did you ftp the files? Some ftp programs don't change from Ascii to binary as they should when sending gifs - a gif uploaded in ascii mode will not work.

I do all of my uploads from within actinic.
Im fairly convinced i've got a cache issue as a friend of mine has a website that my site is listed on, but for some reason I can't see any of the images/links on the page i'm mentioned on (www.studentpocketguide.com - select Norwich) I know that its there as I can see us within the page html.

Are you not seeing images on any website? Check the advanced tab on Tools | Internet Options in IE - there are a few settings in multimedia that can affect this.
