Server Name/Address Could not be resolved

This problem has devloped over the bank holiday. When I try and download my orders or update the site the following error message is displayed:

"The Server Name or Address Could Not be Resolved"

Customers are able to place orders successfully
I am able to upload to my server using a normal FTP program

Is this a problem with my host (VI.net) or Actinic?

    Many thanks

Go into Advanced / Network Setup and run the Network Test. That should give you some diagnostic information.

      Thank you

This is the result of the test:

The test script failed to execute on the web server. The error could be caused by several things. Check the path to the Perl shell, the CGI-BIN URL, and the proxy WWW port.. This error could also occur if your web site is out of disk space or your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts.

I'm thinking its a problem with the CGI server and my host VI.net as I havn't changed any actinic settings.

The CGI server is often failing with VI.net - I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

Have you installed a firewall or other such proxy on your network recently? The problem you are experiencing is consistent with the presence of a firewall.
