    Actinic opening `open`

For ages our Actinic has been opening up with two brochure pages open (in the explorer style list), both listing fragments I'd been working on ages ago. Kind of got used to just closing these every time I open the Catalog, but now its time to get them `closed` like the rest of the pages/site.

Still on the reliable V7.02. Oh, and XP SP2. With a black chair.

That is probably a registry setting Start | Run | regedit and take a look in there - use with obvious care

We have the same problem too . . . and if you try to import a snapshot while the fragment is open, it crashes Actinic.

Any idea where in the registry we should be looking?

David - try making a product the focus rather than a fragment prior to exporting and importing to see if that cures it

I have no idea where the information is stored, but if I close all sections and click on my home page before closing Actinic, it reopens with the navigation tree closed next time.

Yep, that's how it should be I guess . . . sadly just not for George and us.

Are you using fragments Bill? And which version are you using? We're using v7.0.2

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actinic\Catalog7 seems to be the likely place... probably under Navigator but unable to test at the moment... what do you think Bill?

I have fragments coming out the yang

I'm on version 7.0.3. If you want to move up, do a forum search on posts by pinbrook including the word teclan and you will find the patches.

Just tried a few things. Highlighting Homepage then taking a back up. Same with a Snapshot. Closed with Homepage highlighted. Same result.

Wonder why the Actinic bod's haven't replied.

(Is it my imagination, or do they reply less nowadays? I know there's much increased input from users but...)

                        @George

The Actinic bods have already answered. I found a thread with instruction on the registry hack neede to resolve this here http://community.actinic.com/showthr...inic+tree+open

The snapshot thing is also a known problem - see http://community.actinic.com/showthr...gment+snapshot
the problem still exists in v7.0.3

Thanks. The search words I used obviously never picked them up. If we knew how it was caused we could make it open at a more suitable page though.

That solution has not cured my problem.

                              George - just to confirm,

You have amended the registry as shown on that thread, you have opened Actinic, closed all the tree items, compacted both databases - Actinic re-opens with the tree open?

Closed all tree items, run a snapshot - closed Actinic, re-opens with the tree open?

Imported the snapshot - tree still open?

                              thanks,
