    Quick search redirect issue

    We've noticed a slight flaw with our AddToCart redirecting. If you quick search for a product and then add the product to the cart once that product is displayed the bounce redirect doesn't take you back to the previous page as expected, but rather to the page from where the quick search happened.

    For example, if a customer is on the main /acatalog page and quick searches for Verbatim and chooses the top listed product they get correctly redirected to the correct product in the correct section. If they then add that product to the cart they would expect to get redirected to the section they were in. However, the website will then direct them back to the /acatalog page where they performed the quick search from.

    Any ideas?

    There have already been two threads on this, and I have an open ticket with support on the subject. Waiting for developments - last feedback was 1 August and advised the query has been passed to the programmers to decide if it is working as designed and if the behaviour can be modified.

          The answer from Support

          Hey everyone - we have a solution from support

          If search highlight is disabled (View | Search Settings) then the search
          results uses a static link to the product page which will then become the
          last shop page and the site will behave as expected.
          So off to View | Search settings and untick 'Highlight Located Text' on the Results tab, then reupload your sites.

              Thanks for that Bill, it's a shame though that it's really only a workaround rather than a fix... we've always quite liked the highlighted text functionality (perhaps Actinic Towers can keep this in mind when developing future versions).
