Extra add to Cart button

I am trying to include an extra add to cart button onto the special offers page.
to do this could i simply copy the relevant text i.e. ntequotevar:.. etc.
or do i need to create a customvar: label?

also is there anything else i need to include to allow a feature like this to function properly?

The button would need to know what product it was adding etc,. May be easier to create an amended template that hides <!-- --> everything you don't want to appear on the page. That way you can be sure nothing is missed out.

Using a duplicate?

I obviously have not tried this, but I can see no logical reason why it would not work.
