leading zero on product refs

HI - I am importing an existing product database into Actinic (7000 products), all works fine except some of my product references begin with zero e.g. 07891 but Actinic deletes the leading zero on import and makes it 7891 which causes problems with stock monitoring etc and order processing etc. Is there any way I can stop it doing this

I've just tried importing a flat file into my software which included a product reference of 05 and the product was imported with that reference number. What type of file are you trying to import (ie .csv, .txt)? Is it flat or hierarchical?

Try making the ref file "text" and not number format
