The root parent

When selecting the 'use parent' option for a page template, and assuming the page is a top level section, what does it consider to be the parent?

I assumed it would take the template of the catalogue home page, alas this is not the case.

Just to clarify, In this scenario....

CatalogueHomePage->SectionPage01

...If the catalogue home page is set to be template 'X' via design->options->layouts->FrontPageLayout, and you set 'SectionPage01 to use parent, it doesnt use template 'X', which is the template that its parent page uses.

Hi,

SectionPage01 parent will be the one set in Design | Options | Layout.
