    Protx

    Good afternoon,

We are currently preparing a new site using v7 and are considering using Protx as a payment provider. Does anyone have experience, either good or bad of using this company?

I have used WorldPay for the last four years, but am having a dreadfull time trying to deal with their intergrations department!

    Regards,

    Actinit and Protx

I'm a first time user of websites and have been really impressed with the interface between Actinic and Protx. Protx was recommended to me by another user and by the bankers we use - absolutely no regrets.

Check our site out at www.enchanted-wood.co.uk

Yes we have been using them for 3 years now. They went through a spell of DoS attacks and subsequently their site was down so we quickly added the actinic Capture credit card details option as a backup. They always responded with technical info on what happened and their solutions to try and reduce further attacks.

Their virtual terminal is great, we go away at weekends and take customer card details and then can process them using the virtual terminal.

All in all very pleased with them.

We use Protx without problem. The initial setup/configuration was straight forward, in fact they recognise Actinic and give simple instuctions on how to configure Actinic to use Protx.

We did have some problems as my bank (HSBC) had not given Protx some number to allow debit card transactions. Whilst trying to sort this out I did find Protx very poor at answering emails, in fact two or three days seemed the norm. But they did answer the telephone promptly and I thought their telephone support was very good.

When live I find the admin user panel is easy to use with bags of info, customer details, risks, security are clear and refunds (horrible word!) are straighforward.

I would say from my experience they are a decent company to deal with and ideal for the DIY type Actinic user.
