hello again!!

I'm in the middle of designing a new look for my home page, and all the brochure pages, and I want to use them outside of Actinic - all I really want from Actinic is the actual store - the rest I can upload from Dreamweaver.
my question is this: how would it be best to achieve this safely; so not to upset the search engine spiders?

What you are considering is nothing extraordinary.

do just as you say you want, upload the actinic site, upload the DW pages. There is no reason for them to conflict, and there is no reason for search engines to do any thing more than they normally do when crawling a site

thanks man - although, how do I stop Actinic uploading a new index page each time I upload any changes?

remove all the brochure pages from the tree within the actinic software. This way actinic will only load into the acatalog folder
