microsoft errors

when i export a site snap shot for backup purposes, I am constantly getting microsoft errors, all i did was basically create a brochure page, i didnt like it and deleted it, and I unchecked the coupon box in view/discounts and surcharge settings etc, and added a few prices. when i then did a snap shot it came up with a microsoft error so I tried to revert to a previous snap shot, which completed successfully but that is now also throwing up errors, although it did revert back.

this is the error I have got this time

Exceptions - fatal errors
(File SnapshotWizard.cpp, Line 1214) - An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end.

This is the 3rd time in a week this has happened and is driving me mad, can anybody help please

When you do the snapshot, do you have a product selected at the time of starting it, i.e. in the content tree....

Try selecting a section instead as I recall some weird issue where the snapshot failed if a product was actually selected at the time a snapshot was conducted....

Might be right off the mark with this suggestion, but for some reason something along those lines seems to hit a cord with me, so worth a try and apols if it does not solve this, but it is niggling me as the solution for some bizaar reason.

by jove I think you've got it!!!, how bizarre, i have done several snapshots, without a product being highlighted), includng one to my memory stick, (which would never work), and it now works great, touch wood.

Hopefully this is on the wish list for furture upgrades / patches?

There is a bug outstanding which is when you highlight a fragment and do a snapshot, Actinic crashes out. This will be fixed in the forthcoming patch.
