    Barclays EPDQ

    Hi,

One of our customers is thinking about using Barclays EPDQ for transactons. The person on the end of the phone said there are problems with a new version of EPDQ and Actinic.

I have looked through the forum posts and the only way seems to be using securehosting. Is this really the only way? why can you not go directly to Epdq?

This seems a little strange, why would you need Epdq at all? surely all you need is a merchant number and then you can go to anyone? Otherwise the fees are going to be silly, securehosting + Epdq + normal merchant fees, rather than just the last 2.

Can someone shed some light please, I am getting very confused over this with decent explanation of what when why and how

    Thanks

    J

To connect Actinic to an Online Credit Card Processor (OCCP) requires integration using the Actinic OCCP toolkit. By all accounts Barclays did not want to go down this route, but Securehosting were willing to develop it, so they did all of the leg work in creating the Actinic to ePDQ connections, so they are the only ones which can provide the connection from Actinic to ePDQ systems....

It is unlikely that Barclays will develop it themselves now, and even more unlikely for anyone else to develop it to offer an alternate service, so afraid if you want ePDQ with Actinic, then this route via the securehosting is the only way, sorry

      ARRRGHHHHH that is just silly

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that was not the answer

Do you know where can you get this tool kit from? I think we will have to give it a go.

Good for securehosting for filling a gap.

      Cheers

        Hi Jez

You would purchase the PSP Toolkit from Actinic Sales on 0845 129 4800, typically its normally the PSP themselves who would purchase this.
