    Producing this postage/packaging functionality...

Hi there - i'm trying to get my head around how to set the below postage rates up in Actinic for a customer's website i'm developing. Here is a synopsis of their desired postage rates:

The client wants free delivery as an option for orders totalling £18 or more. If the order is less than £18 there is a standard postage rate of £2 applied. Both free and standard postage take 8 days to deliver.

However the customer can choose to pay for Express delivery (faster, takes 2 days to deliver). The standard rate of express delivery is £6 for orders less than £18, and £4 for orders over £18.

I guess when at checkout if a order is less than £18 there would be a drop down for the customer saying "Standard Delivery: £2" and "Express Delivery: £6" - or if the order was over £18 the choices would be "Standard Delivery: Free" and "Express Delivery: £4"

Can all the above criteria be utilised in Actinic? Is the software clever enough to distinguish?

What kind of postage options would i need to select in Actinic?

    Thanks a lot.

Hi David - it is no problem to set up what you are looking for under View | Business Settings | Shipping

First set the shipping calculation to By Value. In the shipping Band you will need 2 classes "standard" and "express"

Against "standard" set up the cost matrix

    £17.99 = £2.00
    £18.00 = £0.00

set "take highest value in table"

Against "express" set up the cost matrix

    £17.99 = £6.00
    £18.00 = £4.00

set "take highest value in table"
