    Business cookie problem

    Hi

I asked if anybody could help with a cookie problem - see here:

    http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=15525

But have been unable to sort the problem - I would be grateful if anybody has any advice for overcoming this issue. Does anybody else have this problem when viewing this site: http://www.southernartists.co.uk/acatalog/index.html
    User: seemore Pwd: graphics.

This site is currently running happily under a Catalog version from which the snapshot was taken and imported into Business.

I really need to make it active so my client can view it.

Many thanks for any help or advice.

Yes, I can see the problem.

have you tried making the changes Nadeem suggests in the other thread?

There some major difference between what you have on the page and what Actinic uses as the standard login code.

      Hi Mike

I built the site originally from a clean layout in Catalog (this site works perfectly) and then imported the Catalog snapshot into Business. I tried 'Help > Troubleshooting > Purge Session Files' and also cleared the browser cache in the various browsers which removed the 'Invalid user message', but the browser still returned the cookie error message:
This shopping application requires permission to use cookies on your machine, but this has been denied.
This can be for several different reasons, etc. ... I'm afraid that we cannot complete your request.

I don't know what to try next, so any other advice gratefully received.

      Regards

I can't really help you directly as I don't use customer accounts and don't know how you've constructed your customer login page.

What Nadeem is suggesting is that your page doesn't have the right form statements in it. The likely result is that actinic isn't writing the cookie to the PC, which means the login page can't read it back and it therefor thinks you don't have cookies enabled.

Fix the form problem and everything should work OK.

          Thanks Mike

I must be going senile as I didn't spot Nadeem's reply to my last thread! Obviously didn't refresh my browser ... or open my eyes!

          Thanks
