    suspend orders

    Hi

One of our customers has called with a question.

He has stock monitoring turned on which is fine, but because he is away from his computer a lot, say if he he has 5 items in stock and 6 people order the same item, does sctinic automatically detect they are out of stock or is it only when the orders are downloaded that actinic flags up oit is out of stock?

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks

Actinic will only flag out of stock when he re-uploads his site after downloading the orders. The information is stored in the local Actinic.mdb database in his Site1 directory and not on the website.

May be worth looking at the plug in from Mole End at http://www.mole-end.biz/acatalog/1St...onInfoDet.html which can automate uploads - this may help prevent too many out-of-stock issues wih people ordering at the same time between uploading the MDB file

Definately worth checking out Mole End

We use just the Stock Control Mole which is brilliant-automated order downloads, and it resets the max order quantity to stock level as well, something you would have to do manually with Actinic

          Hi there

Stock controls works like Bill says from downloading an order to updating the website. Actinic does support command lines, so if you have a windows scheduling software and you were on broadband, then you got set it up to download and upload after every one hour. For more help on command lines, please see "Help | Help Topic | Contents | Application Settings | Command Lines". Catalog, Business and Developer support commands lines.

          Kind Regards
