Microsoft Visual C++ Library - Run time error in Catalog.exe

    Right,

    **Error message dialogue attached!***

This happens at the 'reviewing files' stage to the site update. I know that it is a problem with my Act_Primary.html template, as I am redesigning it on another machine and uploading to a local web server for testing. When I replace it with the current live version it works fine.

I was wondering if any of you had come across this before and would no if there are any esential NETQUOTEVAR:'s that NEED to be included in the template to allow it to upload.

Im not really in a position to start over again as I have literally spent weeks getting the page to print with CSS, which is now worrking lovely. I can post the HTML although it is a flipping mess at the mo as Im doing about 5000000 things to the page.

I have not included the NETQUOTEVAR:'s for the cart or any content other than the navbar, top nav bar and quicksearch, although Im using the '<head>' from the old site.

I would appreciate any help on this as I'm now on a stop on the site which I wanted a working version of, done by next Friday.

by the way, I have reinstalled actinic and that makes no difference what so ever, and I have tried compacting and repairing the database in Access as it advised in another thread whjere the error was occuring whilst takin a snapshot...

Oh and just tried to take a snapshot for process of elimination and it dies with the exact same error just after backup process starts!

Hi, what OS are you using and do you apply security updates?

A similar error message has been happening with us on other programs with regards to Microsoft run time error

XP SP2. Yes we do apply security updates, but I seriously doubt it is that because as I said earlier, if I replace the modified Act_Primary template with the curent live template that is online, it works fine!

I don't know which netquotevars have to be in the templates, but I do seem to remember from somewhere that the recommended practice is not to delete them.

The best thing to do with ones you don't want is to comment them out. That way actinic can replace them with the relevant data (and then delete them if you have 'use compact html' ticked).

            Hi there

Normally a template issue should not bring up this error message. It could also be your actinic database which may be the problem. Has there been any change to this? Please could you advise.

            Kind Regards

              Hi all

Just thought I should mention this problem has been solved. It was caused by a local link to a style sheet, ie

              <LINK REL=STYLESHEET HREF="C:\actinic.css">.

Removing the path to the c drive sorted it, ie

              <LINK REL=STYLESHEET HREF="actinic.css">

Thanks to Darren for helping me resolve this problem!

Just an extra note, the print css had to be added to additional files also!
