External Link option greyed out?

The option for linking to external data is greyed out on my new products that I want to link, how do I do this. I tried everything, even changing the ref number on a linked product, saving it, then putting it back as it was, just to see if it was just me. The Link option just disapeared now I can't get it back?

Am I missing a trick here?

I think that you have to load them from your external source (by refreshing F5) and then link them, the external source needs to have the same product reference as the one used on Actinic.

But I still can't get this too work. It's a nightmare as I cannot add new products!! ...help!

I think you need to register an email support question at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm as the numerous attempts we have made on the Community to get you working have not helped you at all. I think you need to work with a dedicated support technician one-on-one to get up and running.
