About to kill myself - Actinic script incompatability

    Hi,
I’ve been trying for days now to upload a clean installation of a previously working website. However many times I upload or delete or "Web | Refresh" the site after its uploaded it says the scripts are incompatible server version 6dd0a client version 6dhba .

I’ve even copied over every script from the original folder and from the entire actinic folder I saved when I was copying.

Does this mean that the site was created on a younger version of actinic and now that ive imported it into a fresher version and reinstalled it doesn’t like it?

What steps can i take to sort this out... how can i completely make it forget about any version and just clean install again...

    Thanks in advance

Your best course of action is to download the newest patch from the actinic site and apply that, allowing it to update your hard disc copy of the site, then do a Web | Refresh to update the web to the same version.

      Dear Bill,
Ive tried downloading the latest patch, installing it and performing a web | Refresh. I'm able to download orders but the website is missing image files for products. Scripts fail to load - giving an error message asking to contact the webmaster.

Uploading the site gives an error message right at the end saying file merge failed. I have tried manually uploading everything but that failed.

      Help would be much appreciated

      Regards

Do a forum search on merge error and you will find this common problem together with the most common cures. Part of this includes deleting script files to force regeneration and replacement.

On the images - are all the originals in your site1 folder? Is the copy in the site1 folder the one you point to from your products?
