    ps to busspassjohn...

nice site btw - like the borders on the images. !!!

Only 13 hours ??? Lightweight - I've been wrestling with my site for the last 5 DAYS !!

Not only is my Mrs not talking to me but my dog keeps giving me funny looks - usually when i use that tone of voice he has done something wrong and the poor thing is getting paranoid !!

To get extra boxes (tables) on the sides, Advanced | Custom Properties and add one for text and one for title. Design | Options and add your new Customvars to the site defaults tab and enter some data.

Open Act_primary.html and copy the existing code for one of the tables, including the &nbsp bit, then paste the whole lot back in just below the &nbsp bit you just copied. Change the NETQUOTEVAR: title to CUSTOMVAR:YOURNEWTITLE and the NETQUOTEVAR: text to CUSTOMVAR:YOURNEWTEXT and save as - all files. Repeat for any alternate primary layout templates you have created.

        oh thanks... excellent ...

Can I use dreamweaver to alter the files or is it better to just open them in notepad and edit them there ( I read somewhere else that dreamweaver can add code and stop actinic working properly) ( I wanted to use dreamweaver to edit some of the aspects of the index, html page too - like adding some highlights to text)

It is very easy to screw up with Dreamweaver if you don't follow the correct work method and accidentally edit the page instead of the backing templates. Read up on the Actinic Dreamweaver integration details and don't forget to untick the Compact HTML/CGI checkbox before you start.

I personally just use a text based html editor (with preview and excellent reference pages).
