    Order Export

    Hi,

Is there any way of exporting the orders as a csv like you can with the shipping/ catalog?

    Hi Jason

Actinic does allow you to export orders in the csv format. To enable this feature, go to View | Business Settings | Order Processing and tick the option : Enable export to files.

Now in the Orders pane, right-click on any order and select Re-export to files. The orders will be exported into 4 different files : Orders.csv, Persons.csv, OrderLines.csv and Payments.csv. These will be stored by default in the Site fodler, unless otherwise specified.
Please note that you will need to rename the files during each export to prevent the existing files from being over-written.

    Hope this helps.

Note that if you do this the orders exported will be moved from the pending page to the completed page.

I,ve looked at this but found that it downloads the buyers CSV,

This takes ages as we have over 8000 customers is there any way of not download this one as i can link to the customer from the persons CSV:Customer Reference

          Many Thanks

            Hi there

Just testing this out, the software will not allow you to not have a buyers.csv file entered under Views | Busienss settings | Order processing.

If this is taking a long time to do these exports, maybe you could just try exporting them in blocks?

To do this, highlight however many orders you want to export, then you simply right click the highlighted files, then select Re-export to files.

              Thank you for the reply.

I've tried this but it still seem to take an age.

              Many Thanks

                Hi there

Just a thought, but try going to Housekeeping | Compact databases, check both boxes - may be worth a try, to see if it reduces the size of your database.

How long does it take to do these exports? How many orders are you trying to export at a time?
