    moving actinic to a new computer

    Hi, i am having problems moving actinic v6 to a new computer.
    I have taken a snapshot from my cureent working site.
    I have installed V6 same version 6.15 onto a new computer.
    I have imported the snapshot and teh site along with orders show up ok.
    When I try to test the network from advanced/network setup
    I get the follwing error
    Unable to connect to teh ftp server "ftp.treasureislandsweets.co.uk". the computer is disconnected from the network.

    I have access to the internet, it is the smae broadband connection I used with my previous computer. I am also unable to upload or download as i get the same message.
    Any thoughts on this please.

    Does the new pc have a firewall, and is actinic in the list of permitted exceptions on the firewall?

      hi, have checked the firewall, that has improved things a bit. I can now send out emails and check for orders. However if i do a site upload actinic hangs when it tries to upload bb000001.pl this is the first file it tries to uploads, i have changed any files since importing the snapshot.

        hi i am still having problems testing the network. It just hangs when i press test. I thought actinic was supoosed to be easy to swap to a new computer with a snapshot.

          Try compacting both databases under the Housekeeping menu, then when you restart Actinic, do a full Web | refresh. I find I have to do a full refresh if I swap computers or else I struggle through the update and then get a 'different checksum' error and then have to do a full refresh anyway.
