Error Message on completion of Snapshot

    Hi,

Having successfully moved my website from the developement PC to the actual business PC I now have an error everytime a snapshot is taken on the other PC.

(File ExportFiles.cpp, Line 582) - The file C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Sites\Site1\Index.html was not found System error 2 - The system cannot find the file specified.
    ..
The site was developed using Actinic Developer and the error message is appearing on the PC running Actinic Business Catalog.

Has anyone ever encountered this message before?

How, or rather what steps are needed to stop the error?

    Regards,

    Andrew

Have you a link to Index.html in one of the templates or specified in Actinic as the homepage or return page for example? Actinic generally creates lowercase filenames so it could be a typo on your side if the actual file is "index.html" and not "Index.html"

Almost certainly one of actinics 'feature' warnings.

If you have created a direct link anywhere in a page actinic will try to find the file for that page to include in the snapshop, even if it's a page that actinic creates itself from the templates. Apparently actinic isn't capable of checking filenames to prevent this error message from appearing.

The error is benign, in that it doesn't cause any problems, but the only way to get rid of it is to avoid creating manual links (although this is often necessary for SEO).

May be this could be added to the wish list - the option to ignore a specific missing file (not remove the global warning) during upload / snapshot creation

Many thanks to you both for your replies.

Yes, it is a manual link so thankfully nothing serious to worry about.
