complicated? product layout

I was wondering whether it would be possible to achieve something like this as a product line layout.

I have tried using components with the push button option, but this lays out the choices next to each other in a row, and setting the separator option to paragraph or new line makes no odds.

Also, is it possible (assuming that hidden products are set up for the choices) to use the product references and prices for the choices, in the product line using NQVs

Three full products on a page, first set to use the attached (download the file, open in Notepad and save as html) template, other two set to Act_ProductLineCompact gives something similar - how close you get to the example will depend on your image size and how much descriptive text you have on the compact layout items.
