    Duplicating Cart Contents. IE6 and Zonealarm Pro

    I'm going to test the water here on this NEW forum and hope one of you bright sparks will be able to help.

    After installing Zone Alarm Pro recently, and only when browsing with Internet Explorer - 6.0.2.6, Business V4.1.1 with the Norton fix duplicates items in the cart.

    Every time I add a product to the cart, it shows two. Not as 2 in the quantity field but another entry of the same item on a separate line. These entries are carried all the way through the payment process and the total is double.

    Testing this in Netscape and Opera it works fine.

    On removing them from the cart, the first one disappears okay but clicking the remove Confirm button on the second one gives a General Script Error with

    Error: Unable to clear the shopping basket (No such file or directory).

    I had been running the free evaluation copy of ZA Pro with no apparent problems. Then when I install the paid version things went screwie!

      I've not received any complaints about this problem from customers, but generally if there are site problems they just abandon anyway. So I'm not really sure if I'm losing business or not.

        We have got all kinds of firewalls and things in house to use for testing. I'll ask the team to take look and see if we can reproduce the problem.

          After chatting with the development team, it turns out that your problem is already being investigated (I think you posted on the old forums). We have seen two sites so far (including yours) that exhibit this problem in the exact browser/norton setup you describe. Other Actinic sites seem to work fine with the setup you describe.

          I'll keep you posted on developments.

            I've also discovered that two orders are created. So not only do we have duplicate items in the cart we also receive a duplicate order too.
