    Help!! Products Removed

When customers try to order certain items the get this message:

Error: The specified product (reference 566) has just been removed from the catalog. Please return to the catalog and continue shopping. If you press the Refresh or Reload button on your browser, the removed products will no longer be visible in the catalog. We apologize for the inconvenience.

This is now happening on loads of products (which are in stock and have not been removed), but I can't find out why this is happening or fix the problem.
I have refreshed the site and still nothing.

    Can anyone HELP !!

One page, which all products are down is

    http://www.thelaughingstock.co.uk/ac...Male_Hats.html

Then add any hat to the basket

The only thing I could find was that instead of the beach fancy dress page I ended up on 'copy of...' which is unusual, but any product I added to cart (and then removed) did not show the problem behaviour.

    [added]
On second visit, I did get the error on every item - complete with your amendment which says the error is a mistake.

What are your stock quantity settings on the stock monitoring tag for these products?

I haven't got any stock monitoring on for this page.

It is also doing it to every product on these pages:

        http://www.thelaughingstock.co.uk/ac...male_Hats.html

        http://www.thelaughingstock.co.uk/ac...ween_Hats.html

plus other pages , but I have taken them off now. I just can't find out why the error.

Try turning off stock monitoring on the whole store and see if the problem goes away.

BTW which version of Actinic are you running? You'll get the exact version number including the letter sequence from help | about.

I have unchecked 'Disable Automatic Stock Monitoring' , and have now re-uploaded.

              Still no change (ahhhh)

The only difference I can see in the form code on a product that does not work as opposed to a product that does work (Dr Kill Joy) is that the (al capone) hat has a <noscript>space</noscript> after the description.

Where is that coming from? There does not appear to be an associated <script> tag within the form.

                  From Knowledgebase article 573
There can be a conflict between the default '"Add to Cart" Button Label:' and the 'Button' field in the 'Product Details' box of each product, if the same text is used for both (e.g. Add to Cart is typed in both). To remedy this go to 'Design | Options | Defaults' and change the default '"Add to Cart" Button Label:' to something else (e.g. 'Purchase).

Be wary of using <noscript> to add hidden text for searh engine purposes - only a matter of time before this is probably classed as spamming just as white text on white background was....

Hi.. I spotted that one (about chaging the text), but because I wasn't using the default 'Add To Cart' button I thought it wouldn't be the cause.
However I have now tried that suggestion and it has not fixed the problem.

I still can't work this one out.

I found the <noscript>space</noscript> in the al capone description and have now removed it. That has been there for some time when we were trying a new search engine search trick, but as per 'JONT' said we no longer use it for that reason.

                      I STILL NEED HELP !!!!!!!!

What is producing the COMPONENTID -1 on the items on the hat page? Try removing the component and see if the problem goes away.

I have just uploaded a new hat product (captain hat , the 2nd one) and that is showing the same error as the rest.
It shows that it can only be a problem with the whole section, rather than individual product errors.

                            Any ideas ????

I don't see the new product on the male hats page. I find a component ID in every product on this page - here is the code from the first item
                              Code:
                              <b>Black Al Capone Hat</b></span></a><span class="actxsmall"> <br>
<BR>Felt gangster hat for al capone
                              <BR><BR>Black Hat with Band &nbsp;</span>
                              <br><span class="actxsmall">
                               <Actinic:PRICE_EXPLANATION PROD_REF="137"
                               COMPONENTID=-1></Actinic:PRICE_EXPLANATION>
Do you have a component attached to these products?
