    shipping

    Hi

On our store, we are going to sell products for other suppliers. Now with regards to shipping, all our suppliers have different costs for shipping.

Im sure someone will have come across this problem before, we need to basically need to have our store automatically adjust the shipping depending on which supplier they by from.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance

My advice would be have a standard shipping cost that you apply across all suppliers. At least if it's a retail site you're running.

The objective is usually to make it simple for customers. I wonder how many sales you'll get if your shipping charge statement becomes something along the lines of "we charge £3 shipping for products from company x, £5 from company Y and £8 from company Z. If you order products from a mix of companies your shipping charge will then be £8 if products come from companies X & Y, £11 from companies X and Z, or £13 from companies Y & Z. If you order products from all three companies then we will charge you £16. Heavy items have an additional charge which then becomes......"

yeah, now that you write it out like that, it makes sense.

I guess we will have to come up with some kinda postage figure in the middle.

If anyone else has any other thoughts though, be happy to hear them
