    Pricey bug #2

    Hi folks

I'm bringing this up again, as it's not been resolved and I really don't know what to do! Hope someone can help me.

    ----------------------------------------------

OK folks, we won't accept any of these orders, so if you try then we'll refund you

We've just altered some minerals prices (all the WaterOz ones http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acata...ic_calcium.html etc), and done a buy ten for the price of nine offer on them. That works fine when selecting the minerals using the normal add to basket method, but if you select 9, go to your basket, click on the Discounting information that highlights "minerals" (Save £14.46 on Minerals products by buying 1 more.) and select a new mineral from there, it then gives a whopping -£131.59 discount, not the £14.46 that is should give!

Methinks this is a bug, but we need to sort it or we'll have to pull the discount for these minerals.

    Hope someone can help!

Below is an example of it going wrong!

    2nd post...

I just tried it again -- it functions correctly if you do 9 of one and 1 of another, 8 and 1 and 1, 7 and 1 and 1 and 1, but then when I did 6 of one and one of four others, I got this, which is a totally different amount to the other time I did it, and still totally wrong... Can anyone understand what may be happening, it's definitely buggy, isn't it? I hope it's not just me!!?

Are the products that you are explaining just component and choices for a single product, or are they actually hidden products, which you have associated with the choices / options, in which case, if that is it, then have you assigned all of your hidden products to this discounting schema...

    Just an idea..

      Hi

The products are all different but are all the same price. For example:

      http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatalog/ionic_gold.html
      http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatal..._platinum.html
      http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatal...ic_silver.html
etc for about 20 of them...!

There are no hidden products within these items in Actinic.

      Does that help?

I have been able to reproduce this on your site. What is interesting with the first example is that the total you get (£15.29) is 10 times less than you should have (£152.91). So it's like a decimal place is out of place.

It looks like there is an issue here with the software, but someone in support would need to see your database to try and pin it down.

Could I ask you to register an email support question here http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm and one of the team will be able to look into it for you.

I've posted in your original thread HERE which I hope will help.

We had exactly the same problem with the discounts effectively being mutiplied.

Oooh, thank you! I mailed all this to our techie as it was a bit much for me, and now it works. I really don't know what was wrong with it, but thanks for fixing it!
