magically appearing checkout / view basket buttons?

Does anyone know if it's possible to have 'view basket' & 'to checkout' buttons that only appear IF there is actually something IN the basket .. ?

Hi,

Actinic is based on static HTML pages and this sort of a function would need dynamic checking on the site, I'm afraid not possible right now. If someone knows of a way to get this functionality please feel free to post here.

I would do it with a bit of javascript that checks the cart contents and then puts blank images over the checkout, etc buttons if the cart is empty.

The reason I'd do it this way around is that otherwise people with javascript disabled (about 2-5% of my customers) wouldn't be able to checkout.
