Changing Design Theme to suit 800x600 resolution

I am using the Smart Design Theme in Catalog 7. I wanted to change the layout to be viewable in 800x600 without the scrolling problem.
I have been following various different threads about this and have followed all the great advice that has been given in the past - i.e. changing ACTSdWIDTH, size of images etc.
Despite all this, the right hand column remains tantalisingly and rather annoyingly about 1" off the right side of the screen so only half the cart box is viewable. The problem appears to be something in the main body of the catalog but I cannot fathom out what.
Has anyone else come across this and found a simple solution?

    Cheers.

What settings do you have now? 150 for the section tables, 450 for actstdwidth, 150 for the right side tables?

OK you will probably find the cell that contains the side tables is 200 wide <td valign="top" width="200"> that only leaves 400 for the main table and the built in padding. Try changing the width of the main table to 100% - that should do it.
