Unsecure Item Warning During Customer Login

Hello All,

We have recently moved our shop to a new URL (which went fairly smoothly), however, we have just discovered that when the account login process is used (something that only some of our customers use), there is an Unsecure Item warning displayed (you know, the one about secure and unsecure items on the same page) when you sunmit your username/password.

This warning appears to be generated by a script — the browser shows ...co.uk/cgi-bin/bb000004.pl in the address bar. If you say "No" to the warning, the login process carries on as normal and you're pushed to the acatalog index page and appear to be fulled logged in.

I figure there's some little thing we've missed during the URL change over, but I can't find it.

Any thoughts anybody?

No insecure messages when I looked just now - so pressume you found the culprit and sorted it out

No, still does it. Try logging in with U/N and P/W as 'test', the account doesn't exist but it still demonstrates the problem.

Ahhh right, so it is during the login, as just tried the login page which is in SSL.

OK, this throws it up..

You have a meta refresh in there connecting to http://www.mandrak.....

which may be the cause of it.......

I can't be sure, but it might be something to do with the code you have in your <title> tag, this part: -

SRC="//smarticon.geotrust.com/si.js">

is minus a 'http:' or a 'https:'

I've got a feeling it's the Geotrust thing but I'll check both things. So my next question is . . . which templates do I need to be looking in? I couldn't find it yesterday

Hi,

What browser are you looking at the site with? I just tried it with Firefox and received no warnings, but I can see the warnings with IE. It looks like IE have upped the Security on the browser and that is causing the grief.

Ah, that's interesting. We're using IE, I shall try from FF later myself but I imagine it'll be the same.

I guess it's just one of the things we'll just have to live with . . . ta microsoft
