Despite adding a digital download file (just a plain TXT file as a test) the file is not showing in the DD folder on the web.

The link shows on the onscreen and customer email receipt but when clicked I receive a internal CLARA server error... which makes sense if it is not in the DD folder.

Any ideas before doing a purge and refresh?

      Jont,

Is the text file in the Site1 folder or in a sub-folder? I have tried both variants and do get the file uploaded to the DD folder.

      Kind regards,

In the root of the site folder. Will try a purge and refresh to see if that resolves.

        Thanks,

        Jont

OK.. different site but same host with CLARA .... a JPEG has upload to the DD subfolder on the site and Actinic has changed the file name accordingly... this can been seen via FTP

Clicking on the link from either the onscreen receipt or the email receipt brings up an "Internal Server Error blah, blah, blah" ..... needless to say no point talking to CLARA as the buck will be squarely passed over to Actinic without them even thinking about the issue.

As everything else is working fine script wise why is this patricular script function not working?

If this is a CLARA issue can anyone recommend another Linux host that will happily work with DD for under £100.00pa? Bandwidth not a real issue as will be a secondary site.

          Thanks

                Hi Bruce,

tried your suggestion and deleted the nph-dl00001.pl file from the site1 folder but Actinic appears to have recreated this in the folder again after doing its upload routine. There is no sight of the dl000001.pl file you suggest Actinic will be forced into using.

Is there something else I need to implement to disable the nph file and force dl000001.pl?

                  Jont,

Rename nph-dl000001.pl to download.pl, sorry should have told you that in the mail.

                  Kind regards,
                  Bruce King

Ooo ya little beauty Bruce ... would give you a kiss but as you were only almost there I will have to hold back .... needed to rename nph-download.pl to download.pl to get it to work.

If of use to others :

delete the nph-dl000001.pl from the site1 folder
                    raname nph-download.pl to download.pl
I also deleted the nph-dl000001.pl on the server (may not be necessary)
                    Uploaded the site

Site is hosted by CLARA but may be of use on other servers with similar issues

                    Thanks again Bruce
